Foxkit apprentice ceremony

Shinestar padded out of her den and jumped up onto the rock. "Let all cats old enough to lurk in the shadows gather around the shade rock for a clan meeting!" she said and waited for the cats to gather.


Foxkit padded out of the nursery. He walked right up front and sat down. This was his apprentice ceremony and he couldn’t wait to see who his mentor was.

Lonewolf walked out of the warriors den at the call of his leader. "Ah, new apprentices are always good for the clan." He purred. He did as shinestar has announced and sat beneath the Shaderock by himself. It's not that he didn't have any friends, it's just that Lonewolf preferred being by himself.

Shinestar looked down at the kit and smiled. "Foxkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Foxpaw.". She looked at all the cats until her eyes settled on lone wolf. "Your new mentor will be lone wolf. I hope Lonewolf will pass down all he knows on to you.

Shinestar calls up lonewolf. "you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training, and you have shown yourself to be loyal and brave. You will be the mentor of foxpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." and with that she leaped down and went into her den.

Foxpaw walked up to lonewolf and touched noses with him.

Lonewolf was shocked. 'Me? Really?' Lonewolf thought to himself. He wasn't too comfortable with the thought of being close with another cat. 'A change wouldn't be that bad.' He thought to himself. He stepped forward and touched his nose with Foxpaw's. "Training starts at dawn." He meowed.
